Existential war

Updated: Oct 9, 2020

A flamboyant skirt, the sky is wearing for these million years. The shimmers of stars, the frills of clouds and a brooch stitched in a perfectly cresent shape. The mesmerizing glimpses of the sky when she flaunts her skirt, the big and round and ruffled twirls steal my attention everytime the razzle dazzle skirt flickers and twinkles in my eyes, mopping away the tiredness from my dark baggy weary eyes.

The fading beauty of the skirt got serene in the tired eyes dwindled but that isn't our concern because priorities count, right?!

We have a list of priorities from work deadlines to series marathon to movies of the week, but sorry for we are not sorry that the nature isn't in our priority list. We pretend that the nature is alright, she is immune enough to take her own care even if we kill her a little everyday. Killing her everyday, doing everything we want to, from food consumption, content consumption, resource consumption and the list goes on and on and on.

Recklessly flowing in the wave of trends,

Gratifying our hearts without being compassionate for the tranquil nature and hiding behind the facade of "super being" of the planet?!

Organically, nature is calm, serene and extremely pacifying, she is repeated appeasing with our ethos nonetheless.

Inpite of her indications, our brazen psyche brought us here today. Nature's outburst is an aberration, an eruption of gratification and exploitation that we owe her. She chide us multiple times but did we pay heed when it was raining in January, when the gallons of water that we had to buy, when the fog evolved into smog, did we? NO, because priorities, yes priorities.

Now it's her existential war so don't bother if it's her turn to devastate the malefactors. Despite the fact that she is exasperated, she is not callous, forgiveness is her very own element.

The only way we have now is apology.

Let's pray for forgiveness,

Let the skirt of the sky shimmer again,

The scarf of the forest groove in the air,

The rivers hug the ocean,

The nature bloom and flourish again.

Let's not violate her rules,

Let's be the genre she had engendered us for,

Let's be a saviour and not a satan,

Let's be the constructor not the devastator,

Let's be the custodian not the intruder.

LETS BE HUMAN.
